Mom came up with the idea first…

October 6, 2011 — 4 Comments

I thought it was the most ridiculous idea ever…I mean, who would actually care about hearing what I had to say online!?

The truth is, my Mom made a VERY interesting point.

"ME"

Here’s the back story….a few nights ago, before I even wrote this blog posting, my Mom suggested that I start a blog or write some books and short stories, a bio if you will, covering some of my moments in childhood! She made the point that my writings and my stories of growing up and striving for greatness would be very inspirational and uplifting, and that’s just the stories that are true.

My fictional stories, my Mom said, would be something that could reach out and minister to those who are in need of connecting with someone who actually “get’s” it!!!

Now, fast forward a few hours later! The next morning, I’m driving to work, and in my head and heart I’m racking my brain, trying to figure out where my life is going and what I need to do with the talents and abilities I have.

Mom’s idea came to mind….and it literally may work!!! This very well may be the idea I’ve been looking for, for days, NO, YEARS!!!

The only thing I considered were the cartoons! I enjoy drawing and cartooning, but I also enjoy writing. That’s when it hit me when I made that first curve around the block in my car. I need to mix my short stories and life observations with the drawings that I put together on the blog!

With that, welcome to Cartoon Daily News, where the goal of this news agency is to encourage and uplift you, share crazy stories of my childhood and adult years to help you and get you animated!

With that, this is for all of you…and thanks Mom for being my cheerleader for such a project!

  1. Listen to your mom and do it, the only way it wont be a success is if you dont do it!

  2. I agree with Karmen. You’re off to a great start — now just keep going. Your Mom sounds like a smart lady.
