The Focus of Cartoon Daily News (c) Kendall Lyons, 2012

Lately, I have seriously reconsidered the purpose and the reason for Cartoon Daily News (CDN).

My intent for CDN was to write various articles that are ministry and thought oriented. The articles were to point out moments from my childhood and my adult life that’s already in progress. I use cartoons to help press the point!

When I’m not telling on myself, I’m often writing articles about what’s going on in the cartoon industry and admiring great artists, illustrators and cartoonists and the cartoons they created.

But, I find myself asking more questions…questions, like, do certain articles on CDN not belong? I have articles and topics that I talk about on Cartoon Daily News that do not seem to fit.

I have stories that either do not seem to belong….OR…they don’t belong because I didn’t do a cartoon for them. Either way, something has to give! It makes me wonder if I need to start funneling those stories over to Eccentric Nation.org, another site I created just for this kind of purpose.

What are your thought on organizing a blog and developing a purpose behind it!?

Any advice, or constructive criticism, would truly help.

At the end of the day, I just don’t want to have people walk away from this site confused!

  1. my advice would be to post less frequently, focus on quality over quantity

    • You know what, that’s a great idea!!! Just because I’m blogging and I see the result of other awesome bloggers and writers does not mean I have to hit the ground running immediately!

I also like this answer because it does prove quality to post less frequently, like, say once a week on a weekend. And I am going back to school too!
