Woody Woodpecker by Walter Lantz
You ever have those days where you remember a character from an old cartoon or TV show you used to watch!?
The classic episode, “The Barber of Seville,” which was made and aired in 1944 was a classic and memorable episode of Woody singing an opera number, all the while dangerously shaving a man.
Memorable cartoons bring something that a lot of newer cartoons are missing. While this sounds like something someone from years past would say, it makes perfect sense after researching and watching the works of old like Woody Woodpecker or Bugs Bunny.
I have a DVD box set of Wood Woodpecker episodes. Needless to say, I’m not getting rid of it anytime soon. I have learned a lot about cartooning and storytelling by simply watching the works of Walter Lantz (the creator of “Woody Woodpecker”) and others animation and cartoon pioneers of the past.
